Full Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Cairo airport, where you will be met by our Egypt Tours and Travel tour manager, and transferred to your hotel. The Marriott Mena House, for check-in and overnight.

Dismantled River Barge King Cheops

Day 2

After breakfast, meet with your Egypt Tours driver and Egyptologist to start your full-day tour, visiting Cairo's iconic Giza pyramids, where the city meets the desert. Continue your tour to the Solar Boat Museum where a dismantled river barge of King Cheops (Khufu) was found and has been masterfully re-assembled. Drive south along the river valley to Memphis, the once-resplendent capital of the Old Kingdom, where you will see the reclining statue of Ramses II. Drive to Saqqara, the burial place for the pharaohs of the Old Kingdom and home to the Step Pyramid of Zoser, one of the world's oldest stone structures of its size. Transfer back to the Marriott Mena House for overnight.

Day 3

Early breakfast, then meet with your Egypt Tours tour manager and transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival at Luxor, you will be met and start your excursion of the West Bank of the Nile by visiting the temples of Medinet Habu, Dier El Madina, the Ramsiuem, and Tomb of Nobles. Transfer back to the East Bank for check-in at the luxurious Sonesta St George. Overnight.

Day 4

Breakfast at the Saint George Hotel. Then you will be met by your Egypt Tours representative and transferred to embark the Goddess Luxury Collection, The Sonesta Amirat Dahabiya in Luxor for a relaxing and educational week, sailing the Nile in a luxury Dahabeeyah (sailboat). After lunch, start a visit to the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of 137-columns, followed by the imposing 28th, Dynasty Luxor Temple. Overnight onboard the Sonesta Amirat Dahabiya moored on the Nile banks of Luxor.

Day 5

Early breakfast, then start your visit of the West Bank, the burial places of the Pharaohs - the Valley of the Kings - where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922. Enter the famous King Tut tomb. In the afternoon, continue the tour to the adjacent Valley of the Queens, the temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Sail to Esna in the late afternoon. Overnight onboard your luxurious Amirat Dahabiya boat.

Day 6

Breakfast, then sail for an entire day to Edfu. Overnight onboard your luxurious Sonesta Amirat Dahabeya boat.

Temple of Edfu, Edfu, Egypt

Day 7

Start your tour to one of the best well-preserved Temples in existence, the temple of Edfu. Boat moored beside Maneeha island in Kom Ombo. Overnight onboard your luxurious Amirat Dahabiya boat.

Day 8

Visit El Silsila island, a site off the beaten tracks, Gabal El silsila or mountain of chains is one of the most important Archaeological site it was sand stone quarry where you can still see the traces of cutting of sandstone, the most famous site is the chapel of Horemheb. Horemheb was the last king of XVlll dynasty, he carved a much larger rock-chapel out of the hillside at the northern end of the site. The chapel was dedicated to Amun-Ra as well as other deputies that were connected to the River Nile. Continue tour to visit the temple of Kom Ombo. Overnight on your Amirat Dahabiya moored next to Silsila island near Aswan.

Day 9

A day at leisure, while sailing to Aswan and moored nearby Aswan Bridge. Overnight onboard your luxurious Amirat Dahabiya boat.

Philae Temple During Sound and Light Show, Aswan, Egypt

Day 10

Start your tour by visiting the Aswan High Dam completed in 1971; the Old Dam completed in 1902. You will also visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, a structure that had to be rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam's construction.

Day 11

Breakfast aboard your Amirat Dahabiya followed by disembarkation, then transfer to Aswan airport for your departure flight to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you'll be met by your Egypt Tours tour manager, and transferred to your hotel. The luxurious Cairo Marriott and Towers for check-in and overnight.

Day 12

Meet with your Egyptologist and driver, then visit the Egyptian Museum, with its excellent collection of Egyptian antiquities. Continue to Coptic Cairo: the ancient synagogue of Ben Ezra, the Coptic church of St. Sergius, and the Hanging Church. Citadel of Saladdin overlooking the entire city of Old Cairo, and the Alabaster Mosque of Khedive Mohamed Ali Pasha, then Sultan Hussein Mosque Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 13

After breakfast, you will be met by your Egypt Tours tour manager, and transfer to Cairo airport for your departure flight.
