Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv

Day 1

Arrive Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion) airport, where you will be met by our representative who will assist in taking you to your hotel, The Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv for an overnight stay.

Caes Area

Day 2

Visit Beit Hatefutsot, the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora on the campus of Tel Aviv University. See the displays depicting the history and traditions of the Jewish people. Proceed to Caesarea, the one time Roman capital of the country for a visit to the Roman and Byzantine ruins. See the moat which surrounds the city, the aqueduct, and the theater. Continue to Acre, visit the underground Crusader city including St. John's Crypt and the Knight's Halls. visit the Turkish baths and the Pisan Harbor. Continue to Haifa for overnight at the Dan Panorama Hotel.

Day 3

Enjoy the magnificent view of the city of Haifa, the port, and the bay from the top of Mount Carmel. Visit the golden-domed Bahai Shrine and the beautiful Persian Gardens around it. Proceed through the hills of the upper Galilee to Safed, the center of the Kabala - the Jewish mysticism. Visit the old synagogues and the narrow alleys of the artist's quarter. Proceed to the Golan Heights. Overnight at the Ayelet Hashachar Kibbutz guesthouse for an overnight in Upper Galilee.

Day 4

Visit Capernaum where Jesus lived and taught. Continue to Nazareth for a visit to the Church of Annunciation, Joseph's Workshop, and Mary's Well. Proceed to Tiberias for a visit to the ancient ruins of Hamat Tiberias, including the mosaic floor of the ancient synagogue. Proceed to Beit Shean, through the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the oldest city in the world. Visit the Tel, the ancient walls, and the watchtower. Proceed through the Judean wilderness to Jerusalem. Overnight at the Leonardo Hotel.

Day 5

Enjoy a magnificent view of the city of Jerusalem from the top of Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives. Enter the Old City and visit the Armenian, Jewish, Christian, and Muslim quarters, including the Cardo, the Herodian Mansions, the Western Wall, Temple Mount, the Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa), the Holy Sepulcher, and the bazaars. In the afternoon visit the room of the Last Supper, Mount Zion, and King David's Tomb. Proceed to Bethlehem, visit the Church of the Nativity. Return to Jerusalem. Overnight.

Day 6

Start a day of sightseeing in the New Jerusalem. Visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. Proceed to Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and on to Ein Kerem, the birthplace of John the Baptist where you will also see the Chagall stained glass windows at the Hadassah Medical Center. Proceed to the model city of Jerusalem as it appeared 2000 years ago. In the afternoon, visit the Israel Museum, then visit the Knesset-Israel's Parliament and the Menorah. View the Ram Hill Campus of the Hebrew University. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7

Breakfast and a day of leisure for swimming or last-minute shopping.

Day 8

Breakfast, then depart Israel by flight. Arrive at Cairo airport where you will be met by your Egypt Tours and Travel tour manager, transfer to your deluxe hotel, the Ramses Hilton, for an overnight stay.

Day 9

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide. Drive to Memphis at the edge of the Western Desert, the capital of the Ancient Kingdom, and one of the most important cities in the history of Ancient Egypt. Drive to Sakkara, the vast Necropolis of Ancient Memphis, and visit the Djoser pyramid. Comprising of six mastabas, the pyramid has a unique stepped appearance and dates back to the 27th century B.C. In the afternoon, drive to the Pyramids of Giza. Cheops Pyramid, the largest of the three Pyramids, was built in the 4th dynasty about 2690 BC and is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Enjoy a camel ride by the Pyramids area if you wish. In front of the Pyramid of Chephren (Khafre), stands the Sphinx, a lion with a Pharaoh's head, carved from a single piece of stone. It is thought to be a portrait of the Pharaoh Chephren (Khafre). Return to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 10

You will be met by your Egypt Tours tour manager and transferred to Cairo airport for your early flight to Luxor, upon arrival at Luxor airport, you will be met and transferred to embark on your cruise ship, the M/S Farah boat. Visit the temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Overnight onboard ship.

Day 11

Cross to the West Bank, visit the Necropolis of Thebes, Tomb of King Tut, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari and Colossi of Memnon. Later in the day, cruise to Edfu via Esna. Overnight onboard ship.

Day 12

Arrive in Edfu, visit the temple of Horus, a Ptolemaic temple built between 237 and 57 BC, and one of the best-preserved temples in existence. Overnight onboard cruise ship.

Day 13

Arrive Kom-Ombo, visit the Temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Cruise to Aswan. In the afternoon, visit the botanical gardens and the Agha Khan Mausoleum by Felucca. Overnight onboard cruise ship.

Day 14

Visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Disembark your cruise ship where you will be met and transferred to Aswan airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will be met by your Egypt Tours tour manager and transferred to your hotel, the luxurious and historical Cairo Marriott. Overnight.

Day 15

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide. Start your tour by visiting the Egyptian Museum famous for its antiquities from Egypt's Pharaonic period, dating back some 50 centuries and including the fabulous treasures of King Tut. Then an afternoon excursion to Old Cairo, visiting the very old Coptic Churches, Abu Serga Church, built over the crypt where Jesus, Mary, and Joseph stayed while in Egypt. Also, visit the Hanging Churches and the oldest Jewish Synagogue of Beni Ezra. Continue your visit to the Alabaster mosque of Mohammad Ali, the Citadel of Salah-El-Din, and the medieval Bazaars of Khan-El-Khalili, where you can bargain for your jewelry, copper, and hand-tooled leather items. Return to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 16

You will be met by your Egypt Tours tour manager and transferred to Cairo airport, where you will be helped with your check-in for your departure flight.

Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II, with its four colossal seated statues of the king in front of the entrance, dedicated to Amun Ra, the Horakhti, and Ramses II. Continue to visit the King's wife's temple, the Temple of Nefertari. The entire site was threatened by the waters upon the completion of the Aswan High Dam and has been preserved by International action organized by "UNESCO." All of the parts of the temple have been sectioned, cut, removed from the original site, and reassembled on higher ground.
