Full Itinerary

The Carlton Hotel Tel Aviv

Day 1

Arrive Tel Aviv where you will be met and transferred to your hotel, The Carlton. Overnight.

Caesarea Israel

Day 2

After a short tour of Tel Aviv and Jaffa, drive north to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the holy land. See the excavations of the Roman statues, the aqueduct, and the Roman theater that has been restored to its former glory as a concert venue. Continue to Haifa, begin the tour at the Summit of Mount Carmel, for a panoramic view of Haifa Bay and the Western Galilee. Proceed to the Bahai Center, visit the exotic Persian gardens. Then on to Acre to visit the old crusader stronghold and the medieval fortifications. Overnight in Nahariya at the Carlton Hotel.

Jerusalem Israel

Day 3

Drive to Nazareth, visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and Joseph's workshop. Continue via Cana, the sight of the first miracle, to Tiberias, a very lovely resort town. Embark on a short boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. On to Capernaum, the old town on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. See the ancient synagogue from the Second Temple period. Continue to Tabgha, where the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish took place. Drive to the Summit of the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the sermon on the Mount. Continue to the Golan Heights, see the former Syrian Fortification and the Syrian border. Continue to a Kibbutz. Overnight.

Jerusalem+Israel

Day 4

A short tour of the kibbutz, then drive to Safed, visit the old synagogue, and the artists’ colony. Proceed to Yardenit, where the Jordan River flows from the Sea of Galilee, a few meters down from the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Continue to Beit Shean and visit the excavations of the former Roman city. Drive along the Jordan Valley, passing Jericho, the oldest city on Earth. Ascend to Jerusalem for a short orientation tour and “a first taste” of this unique city. Overnight in Jerusalem at the Holiday Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Day 5

Depart Jerusalem and drive to Ma'ale Adumim and the Good Samaritan Inn. Descend through the Judean Desert to the salty shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth. Proceed along the Dead Sea to Massada, Herod's fortress and the last stronghold of the Zealots. Ascend by cable car and tour the mount. See the excavations and enjoy the view of the wilderness. Time and weather permitting, an opportunity will be provided to float on the Dead Sea, before returning to Jerusalem. Overnight.

Bethlehem Israel

Day 6

Breakfast, then visit the Israel Museum's Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are displayed. Continue to Yad Vashem, the memorial of the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Proceed to Hadassah Medical Center at Ein Karem to see the famous Chagall stained glass windows. Drive to Bayit Vagan, to view the scale model of Jerusalem as it was during the second Temple period. The last stop of the day is in Bethlehem to see the Church of the Nativity and Shepherd's Field. Return to Jerusalem. Overnight.

Mount of Olives

Day 7

Drive to Mount Scopus and enjoy the magnificent view of Jerusalem. Then on to the Mount of Olives. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and visit the Basilica of the Agony. Tour the Old City, walk through the newly restored Jewish quarter, visit the Western Wall, and Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock. Proceed to Via Dolorosa and walk on the way of the cross to the church of the Holy Sepulchre. On to Mount Zion to visit the traditional Tomb of King David, room of the Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey. Visit the promenade of the Cardo and the bazaar. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Church of Nativity Israel

Day 8

Breakfast and a day at leisure for shopping or relaxing by the hotel pool. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 9

Breakfast, then you will be met and transferred to Tel Aviv Airport for your flight.
